How it works

From a URL to a ranked list of changes.

Six steps take a website from a URL to a ranked list of changes: crawl, deterministic scoring, AI Visibility and AEO on paid audits, prioritised recommendations, and a private report. The sequence is identical every time; only the paid steps differ.

  1. 01

    Enter a website

A URL is all that is needed. No account, and the Free Scan needs no card.

  2. 02

    ScanDepth reads the site

The crawler fetches up to 5 pages on a Free Scan and up to 50 on a paid audit, respecting robots and rate limits.

  3. 03

    Deterministic signals are scored

The same rule set runs every time. No language model contributes to a category score.

  4. 04

Paid audits measure AI Visibility and AEO

A fixed set of prompts goes to each configured engine, and the Answer Engine Optimization lens reads whether a clear, direct, well-supported answer can be extracted from each page. Neither runs on a Free Scan.

  5. 05

    Recommendations are prioritised

Findings are ranked by impact, each stating what is wrong, why it matters and the change to make.

  6. 06

    Receive a private report

A private URL and a PDF. Nothing renews, and there is no dashboard to return to.

Determinism

The same site scores the same twice.

Category scores come from a fixed rule set. No language model contributes to one.

Fixed weights, published

Seven categories carry fixed shares of the overall score: technical 25%, on-page 20%, GEO 20%, trust 15%, structured data 10%, internal linking 5% and performance 5%. They do not move between audits.

What the crawler will not do

It respects robots directives and rate limits, and it stops at the page ceiling for the tier — 5 on a Free Scan, 50 on a paid audit. Pages it could not fetch are reported as unmeasured. They are never scored as zero, because a page that was not read is not a page that failed.

Competitors join the same pass — if you want them.

Free Scan is $0 and the Full Audit is $75. Adding up to 3 competitors, measured on the same rules, is optional and costs nothing extra.
