Terms of Service

These terms cover the ScanDepth product: what a free scan and a Pro audit actually do, what you are agreeing to, and what ScanDepth does not promise.
1.About ScanDepth
ScanDepth is a website audit product operated by California Global LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. It analyses a website for search and AI answer engine visibility and returns a prioritised list of findings. These terms describe how the product works and the basis on which it is offered.
2.Eligibility and acceptance
By using ScanDepth you accept these terms. You need to be able to enter into a binding agreement, and if you are using ScanDepth on behalf of an organisation you need to be authorised to accept these terms for it.
3.Free scans
A free scan reads up to 5 pages of the address you submit and returns scores and a short list of findings. It needs no account and no payment, its results are not saved, and it is limited to 3 scans per IP address per day. Comparison previews are limited to 2 per address per day. Free scans are a preview and may be changed or withdrawn.
4.ScanDepth Pro
A Pro audit is a one-time purchase covering one website. It crawls up to 50 pages, honouring robots.txt and crawl-delay, scores the result, and produces a report page and a downloadable PDF. Delivery links expire 30 days after payment. A limited number of rechecks — currently 3 within seven days — lets you re-run the audit for the same order after you have made changes.
5.Competitor comparison
Competitor comparison is an optional addition to a Pro audit, priced separately at checkout. It crawls up to 3 competitor websites that you name and scores them with the same checks used on your own site. If a competitor site cannot be crawled, the report says so rather than leaving it out or estimating a result.
6.Payments
ScanDepth is sold as a one-time payment for one report. There is no subscription and nothing renews. The price is shown before you pay, and payment is handled by a separate payment provider — no card details are entered on or stored by ScanDepth. Refunds are covered in the next section.
7.Refunds
Purchases are generally non-refundable once the report you bought has been successfully generated and made available through your report link. If your payment completes but ScanDepth cannot generate that report or make it available because of a failure on our side, the purchase may be eligible for a refund. Refunds are not given because you disagree with an audit score, because the findings or recommendations do not match what you expected, because your rankings or traffic do not improve, because an AI system does not mention or cite your website, or because a competitor result differs from what you hoped for. Refunds are handled manually rather than automatically, no processing time is promised, and eligibility is not automatic approval. 8.Audit results
Audit scores are deterministic: they are calculated from what the crawler actually found, using fixed checks and weights, so the same site audited twice under the same engine version produces the same scores. Results describe your website as it was at the time it was crawled. They are information and recommendations, not professional advice, and acting on them is your decision.
9.AI Visibility
AI Visibility measures how often your brand is mentioned or cited when configured AI engines are asked a fixed set of market questions. It depends on third-party AI services that change their models and behaviour independently of us, so results reflect what those services answered when asked and can differ between runs. If no AI engine is configured or reachable, AI Visibility is reported as not measured — we do not substitute an estimate and we do not report it as a zero.
10.Search Analytics
Search Analytics is an optional 28-day snapshot from Google Search Console on a paid Full Audit or Compare purchase. It is collected only if you connect a property you already control. The numbers describe that property for the dates shown; they are not rankings advice, live monitoring, or a Google ranking guarantee. After the snapshot is stored we revoke the OAuth grant. If you do not connect Search Console, the section is reported as not measured.
11.No ranking guarantee
ScanDepth provides analysis and recommendations. It does not guarantee search rankings, traffic growth, indexing of any page, citations or mentions by AI systems, or any change in a competitor’s performance. Search engines and AI systems decide independently what to rank, index and cite.
12.User responsibilities
You are responsible for the addresses you submit. You must own the website you ask us to audit, or be authorised by its owner to have it analysed, and you are responsible for the accuracy of the email address used for delivery. Because the delivery link is the only credential, anyone holding it can read the report — keep it private.
13.Acceptable use
Do not use ScanDepth to scan a website you neither own nor have permission to analyse, to try to reach private or internal network addresses, to work around rate limits or access controls, or to disrupt the service. The crawler refuses private, loopback and cloud metadata addresses and honours robots.txt; attempting to defeat those restrictions is not permitted.
14.Third-party services
ScanDepth depends on third-party services including hosting, a database, file storage, an email service, a payment provider and, where configured, AI providers. If you connect Search Console on a paid audit, Google is also involved for that snapshot. Their availability and behaviour are outside our control.
15.Intellectual property
The ScanDepth software, its scoring methodology, its interface and the ScanDepth name remain ours. The report produced for your order, including the suggested content in it, is yours to use for your own website. Content crawled from your site or a competitor’s remains the property of whoever owns it.
16.Availability and changes
ScanDepth is provided without a guaranteed level of availability. Features, limits and prices may change; a change in price does not affect an order that has already been paid for.
17.Disclaimers
ScanDepth is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every issue on a website will be detected, or that a website will perform better after changes are made.
18.Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, California Global LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, traffic or rankings, arising out of your use of ScanDepth. A specific monetary limit has not been set for these terms; that clause is left open rather than stated as though it had already been decided.
19.Termination
You may stop using ScanDepth at any time. We may suspend or refuse service where it is used in breach of these terms — in particular for scanning websites without permission, or for attempting to bypass the crawler’s safety restrictions.
20.Governing law
The governing law and the venue for resolving disputes have not yet been determined for these terms. This section is deliberately left open rather than naming a jurisdiction that has not been chosen, and it will be completed before these terms are relied upon as a final agreement.
21.Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we will update the effective date shown at the top. Continuing to use ScanDepth after a change means you accept the updated terms.
22.Contact
A public contact address has not been published yet. Automated email from ScanDepth is sent from an unattended address that cannot receive replies, so it is not listed here as a way to reach us.
